SimoneJ also known as Monae is a licensed cosmetologist who specializes in natural haircare & versatile protective styling options that will not compromise the integrity of your crown. SimoneJ has won several "Best Natural Hair RVA" awards, participated in Atlanta Braidfest and won "Fastest Braider" award, she has done educational hair presentations for Virginia Natural Beauty Mega Expo for several years and was an educator with the Weave Xperts team based in NJ for 3years.

     With over 20years of experience SimoneJ continues to grow and learn. She educates her clients and others of healthy hair practices as well as building up people internally. In 2020, Simone became a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist with a focus on trauma, healing and reconciliation. Simone teaches hair braiding paired with life skills to youth and adults looking to grow as individuals. The passion she has for people is why you have 804Braids and more where we care more about you becoming the best version of yourself, hair is just an extension.
